Sara Cvetkovska is a PhD candidate at the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER) and the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (ICS) at Utrecht University. In 2017, they graduated from their Master’s Degree in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Sussex, where they also got their Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Their main research interests include prejudice, group identities, and collective action. Sara’s research at ERCOMER concerns the psychological consequences of being tolerated, as part of a larger project on intergroup toleration. This research aims to contextualize contemporary calls for increased tolerance of diversity by providing the target’s perspective, which often demands respect rather than being put up with. Sara uses survey methodology along with qualitative interviews to research this topic.
